About Me

Writing is something I’ve been dabbling at for decades. As a public relations executive and later an attorney, I had to write for work—newsletters, brochures, magazine articles, legal briefs, and legal articles. I did write two thriller manuscripts when I worked as an attorney in the early 90s, but nothing ever came of them.

I began writing seriously in 2017 when caring for my elderly aunt who passed away later that year. In early 2022, I decided to write a memoir on my struggles with dissociative identity disorder (DID)—from when I was a child through my 30s.

In addition to my memoir, I’m working on an urban fantasy manuscript. I prefer to write urban fantasy stories because I’ve never enjoyed world building. Lately I’ve dabbled in short stories which I’ll post on this website.

I’m now retired and living in Florida with my husband, Grant, and our clowder of cats: Ben, Jonesy, Charlie, Loki, Arya, and Jossie.

Why so many? I was in cat rescue a few years ago when we lived in Arkansas. I couldn’t let a dumped cat/kitten try to survive outside where they’ll face a certain early death.

That’s who I am in a nushell. If you have any questions about me, my writing process, dissociative identity disorder, or anything else, feel free to submit a question through the Q&A page.
